After 2 very quiet years both personally and because of the Covid Pandemic now that things have opened up a lot more, at least for now, the year is looking very busy both Album Release and Gig wise.

Sepultura / Sacred Reich / Crowbar. – The Academy, Dublin for MetalPlanetMusic
Sepultura brought a top class lineup to Dublin with them for this Pandemic delayed show, and what a night it was, all three bands were terrific and with a Full House the atmosphere was great too. Here is my Review of the show with Photos.

The L.A. Maybe. – Dirty Damn Tricks (Deluxe Edition)l for RockposerDotCom
One of the new breed of Rock bands that have sprung up in the last couple of years with an Expanded Edition of last years Dirty Damn Tricks album. The original was excellent and with the addition of Acoustic and Demo version of some of those songs along with a new Acoustic track “The Long Road” definitely make this release woth looking at.
YES – Vicar Street, Dublin for MetalPlanetMusic
Absolutely cracking show by such a talented and experienced group of musicians. The 50th Anniversary Tour of the Close To The Edge album. Age doesn’t seem to be too much of an issue for a lot of musicians these days, both Steve Howe and Geoff Downes put in great performances on the night.

Metal Rampage – Tramline, Dublin for MetalPlanetMusic

A new one Day event in Dublin being put on by The Rock Radio, with five Irish bands on the bill and the excellent Greek powerhouse of Firewind taking the headline spot. What a cracking day this was, all of the bands put on terrific performances and Firewind were just unreal.

TOOL / Brass Against (Photos Only). for MetalPlanetMusic

Review by Paddy Gallagher with my Photos of the Tool show in the 3 Arena, Dublin on Friday night, was brilliant to see a full house when Tool were about to hit the stage. The band have that something special and different about them and the sound was awesome, also they had a hell of a support act in Brass Against.
HRH Blues VI – Day 1 – O2 Academy, Sheffield. for. RockposerDotCom

Day 1 of a cracking weekends worth of Blues. Including Bernie Marsden, The Quireboys, Billy Walton Band, Danny Bryant, Thirteen Stars, Rebecca Downes, Snakewater, Porcelain Hill, McHale’s Permanent Brew.

Dark Tranquillity / Ensiferum / Nailed To Obscurity / Brunhilde. for MetalPlanetMusic

What a brilliant gig this was, really top notch sets from both Headline acts and ably supported by Germany’s Nailed To Obscurity. For me sadly Brunhilde didn’t hit the mark, but I just think they didn’t fit on this lineup at all.

HRH Blues VI – Preview for RockposerDotCom
It was cancelled for the last 2 years due to the Pandemic, but 2022 sees a return to Sheffields O2 Academy for the HRH Blues Festival. Looking forward to catching some bands new to me and some legends. Here is a Preview of the Artists playing over the 2 Days of the Festival.
Savage Grace – Master Of Disguise (Deluxe) for RockposerDotCom
Speed Metal legends Savage Grace are one of those bands that disappeared too quickly, this release on Hammerheart Records contains the full album remixed along with EP/Demos and also the original release versions. Good value and the label is also re-releasing the bands 2nd album in a similar format.
