New Model Army – Button Factory, Dublin – 07-12-2018

As they approach their 40th Anniversary New Model Army still approach live shows with as much passion and energy as they always have and still have one of the most loyal and passionate fan bases of any band. This Winter Gathering show once again showcased tracks across the band career from the excellent most recent album Winter right back to the classic tracks from their early days, Terrific show from a band that continue to deliver the goods.

Tankard – Hymns For The Drunk for Firebrand
Nicely put together compilation album, blending the classics with the newer music of one of best Germanic Thrash bands of all time.
Saintorment – Defective Mind for Midlands Rocks
Hard hitting modern Thrash from Latvia that doesn’t ignore it’s roots.
Blood Red Saints – Love Hate Conspiracies for Firebrand
Excellent and interesting new album from Blood Red Saints, taking a slightly different direction and still holding their melodic sound oh so well, definitely worth some of your attention this one. Cracking band.

Greek AOR band Ailafar released their latest album towards the end of 2017, containing a guest appearance from none other than FM’s Steve Overland.
