Alien – Into The Future for RockposerDotCom
Sweden’s AOR masters return with an amended lineup and a much more beefy sound. For me the album as a whole is a little hit and miss, but there are certainly some cracking tracks on it. Personally I think the more Melodic Rock tracks work best, but still well worth checking this one out.
Earache Presents – The New Wave Of Rock N Roll for RockposerDotCom
Excellent compilation of some of the most talented Rock/Blues Artists on the UK scene at the moment, created by the head of Earache Records this is a cracker and contains some terrific songs. Limited edition Vinyl release that would be well worth adding to your collection.
VEGA – Grit Your Teeth for RockposerDotCom
Definitely one of my albums of the year, VEGA stand out as one of the leading lights of UK Melodic Rock, there’s a nice heavier Rock kick to this one and some really cracking songs. A mature album from a band at their peak.
Jessica Wolf – Para Dice for RockposerDotCom
Excellent mix of pop and rock/metal from a very talented artist. Go check it out, well worth the time and effort.
Newman – Ignition for RockposerDotCom
One of the stalwarts and most talented musicians on the UK AOR scene, Steve Newman has released yet another cracking album under the Newman banner, titled Ignition. Featuring the usual excellent vocals, keyboards and guitars and of course some really well crafted melodic rock songs.
Dynazty – The Dark Delight for RockposerDotCom
Released now on AFM Records, absolutely cracking album, Power Metal, such a well put together album my Top album of 2020 so far, the Swedes have knocked it out of the park on this one.
Gary Moore – Live From London for RockposerDotCom
Mascot Label Group release a new Live album from the legendary Irish guitarist, the show was recorded at the Islington Academy back in 2009. The man himself seems to have been on top form on the night playing both his own Blues/Rock song alongside a number of very good cover songs from the likes of John Mayall. Definitely worth checking out.
